— A Thai man who was forced to leave his home after a foreign national invaded his house in the Thai capital said Friday that he’s pleased to welcome tourists.
Thai President Prayuth Chan-ocha has said the government will give more help to foreign tourists and foreigners visiting Thailand.
He told a news conference in Bangkok that the government would set up an official portal for tourists to enter Thailand and provide information about tourist facilities and accommodations.
There were already over 400,000 foreign tourists in Thailand, he said.
“I hope that the tourists and the foreign visitors will become the backbone of the country.
We will work to support them,” Prayuz said.
He said he had visited a foreign country before and “I am happy that we will do it again.”
