Boston, MA – A Boy, 10, was charged with first-degree murder in the death of a transgender man, authorities said.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday on charges of second-degree malicious wounding and first-level assault, police said.
Police said the boy told police he was with a group of other young boys at a party when they were attacked by a group that included another boy.
The boys were transported to a hospital in critical condition, police spokesman Sgt. Anthony Guglielmi said.
The alleged attackers were later identified by witnesses as 16-year old Dylann Lee Crawford and 17-old Dylanne Crawford.
The alleged victim, identified as 21-year olds Michael James Stacey, and his 17-month-old daughter were both treated and released.
Police arrested Dylanie Crawford and Michael James Crawford, both of the 16000 block of West North Avenue in Boston, and charged them with second- and first-, and third-degree felony counts.
Boston police spokesman Sean O’Connell said the teen’s older brother was also arrested Tuesday and charged with second and first, first- and second-class felony counts of first-class assault and child abuse.
The two juveniles were released from jail after posting $10,000 bond each.
They were released to their parents, who are expected to face arraignment on Wednesday.
